However, her niece Sabrina Owens, the estate's executor at the time, discovered two handwritten sets of documents nine months later at Franklin's Detroit home, the BBC reports. The papers, dating back to 2014, override a handwritten will from 2010 discovered at Franklin's Detroit home in 2019, according to the presiding judge. While both documents indicated Franklin's desire for her four sons to split the income from her music and copyrights, discrepancies existed. A dispute persists over how to handle Franklin's music assets.

CNN —The senior US general for the Middle East has ordered additional interviews be conducted regarding the 2021 Abbey Gate bombing in Kabul, Afghanistan, which killed 13 US service members during the US withdrawal from Afghanistan, the US military announced Friday. It’s unclear if the new interviews will include Afghans who witnessed the blast, which killed more than 170 Afghan civilians. When pressed on whether the interviews would include Afghans, Lawhorn said it would be “up to the Supplementary Review Team to decide who to interview.”“I cannot be explicit about anything that the Supplementary Review Team may or may not decide to review in the future,” Lawhorn said. CENTCOM released a lengthy after-action review last year that included statements from more than 100 witnesses. Tyler Vargas-Andrews, who was seriously injured in the blast and who has said he was not interviewed in CENTCOM’s original investigation.

Companies JPMorgan Chase & Co FollowNEW YORK, May 18 (Reuters) - The young entrepreneur Charlie Javice has been indicted on charges of defrauding JPMorgan Chase & Co (JPM.N), the largest U.S. bank, into buying her now-shuttered college financial aid startup Frank. A four-count grand jury indictment made public on Thursday in Manhattan federal court charges Javice with securities fraud, wire fraud, bank fraud and conspiracy. In connection with that, prosecutors were granted more time to have Javice indicted by a grand jury. JPMorgan separately sued Javice and former Frank chief growth officer Olivier Amar in December in Delaware federal court for fraud, saying they inflated Frank's customer base to induce the bank's purchase. Javice countersued JPMorgan, saying it owes millions of dollars after firing her "without valid cause" in November.
Sunday's episode expands greatly on a minor survivor from the video game, Bill (Nick Offerman). The showrunners told Insider why it was important to show Bill's love story with Frank. In the game, Joel and Ellie seek out Bill, shown as a paranoid loner who speaks to himself, to help them fix up a vehicle and carry on across the country. Frank, also his partner in the game, is only seen dead, hanging after committing suicide some time ago after the infected bit him. Bill tells Joel to keep his partner, Tess, safe in the same way he protected Frank for years.

He has been on Intel’s board since 2017.
JPMorgan Chase on Thursday shut down the website for a college financial aid platform it bought for $175 million after alleging that the company's founder created nearly 4 million fake customer accounts. JPMorgan touted the deal as giving it the "fastest-growing college financial planning platform" used by more than five million students at 6,000 institutions. Specifically, after being pressed for confirmation of Frank's customer base during the due diligence process, Javice used a data scientist to invent millions of fake accounts, according to JPMorgan. "Javice represented in documents placed in the acquisition data room, in pitch materials, and through verbal presentations [that] more than 4.25 million students had created Frank accounts." Instead of gaining a business with 4.25 million students, JPMorgan had one with "fewer than 300,000 customers," JPMorgan said in the suit.
At issue is the settlement claims process, funded by Godiva and executed by Kroll Notice Media Solutions. According to class counsel, Godiva recently directed Kroll “to conduct several additional rounds of review” of class claims that had already been validated. Adding to the intrigue: In September, class counsel told Preska that Godiva had informed them that the company did not have enough money to pay class members. It's also rare, Frank said, for class counsel to ask a judge to get involved in the post-settlement claims administration process.
